Requirements
★ Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
★ Transfer GPA of 2.80 or higher
★ Full-Time Student at U-Dub
★ Not a member of any other sorority or co-fraternity, except for professional, service or honorary organizations.
★ Has not de-pledged any other sorority.
★ Cannot be a senior in her last quarter.
★ Good Character.
Networking Opportunities
Sigma Lambda Gamma offers an amazing opportunity to meet and network with other college women from campuses across the country. An added advantage of joining the largest Latina-based sorority in the nation is that you have access to our extensive chapter base. Both undergrads and alumni serve as a resource for career and academic advice.
Academics
A recent study found that students participating in a Greek organization have a higher college graduation rate than non-Greeks. As members, our number one goal is our education. We hold our members to high academic standards. We also provide our members with academic resources necessary to succeed in college, such as test banks, weekly study hour requirements and study groups.

Throughout the school year, the sorority sponsors campus events in celebration of our five principles. The planning of these events gives sisters the opportunity to develop leadership and academic abilities by writing proposals, developing budgets, securing funding and advertising.
Cultural Awareness
Sigma Lambda Gamma is a diverse sorority encompassing all ethnic backgrounds and is open to strong, determined and hardworking women. As an inclusive organization, we encourage all ethnicities to inquire about our organization to help us learn more about their culture and for us to share our own. We feel the exchange of other cultures is just as valuable as our emphasis on the Latino culture.
Community Service
Giving back and reaching out to our community is a huge part of being a sister. The sisters of SLG at UW do many various community service projects. From cleaning up the streets to volunteering for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, SLG is always looking to help out the community in some way.
